ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Our 5th Annual Golf Tournament at Mountain View was a great success! Thanks to all those who participated & volunteered! We were able to raise $2,413.00 to help Adams County residents spay/neuter their animals.
- The SPCA is a full-service operating facility as of August 2009. This means that any animal adopted from the SPCA will be spayed or neutered on site. The SPCA is now including outside pet-owners in their spay/neuter program but there is a waiting list. If you need a certificate now & can't wait, ACPALS can help! Call Dottie at 717-624-3408 to obtain a certificate & use at a local, participating vet. You must be an Adams County resident.
- Our 1st Annual Human Walk at Oakside Community Park was a "barking" success despite a 1-week postponement. Dog-owners came out to be walked by their dogs and raised money to help support ACPALS. Prizes were given out in categories such as smallest dog, dog most resembling its owner, & hairiest dog. Thanks to all who battled the mud & rain!!!
- Our annual Pet-of -the-Year contest at Agway raised $791.65!!! Pet-of-the-Year runs for 3 weeks beginning in October. Any pet-owner can submit a photo of their pet and vote for as little as 25 cents. ALL money raised goes to ACPALS and the winners receive a nice prize catered to their pet!
- Dressed as dalmations and accompanied by their furry companions, ACPALS board and volunteers participated in the annual Christmas parade in November.
